Privacy.
What we collect, what we don't, and how to unsubscribe.
// who we are
Pet Brains is a publication, not a SaaS company.
Pet Brains is an indie publication for builders shipping with AI agents. We publish open-source tools, methodology, and build films. We do not run a SaaS product, we do not host user accounts, and we do not collect data beyond what this page describes.
This policy covers v1 of the site. If we add new processing later — analytics events, a contact form, accounts — we update this page first.
// what we collect
Email, processed by Beehiiv.
When you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is collected and stored by Beehiiv, our email service provider. We use that address to send you the newsletter.
We collect nothing else. No name, no phone, no address, no payment details. The site itself reads no input from you outside the subscribe form.
// third parties
Beehiiv for email. Vercel Analytics, cookieless.
Newsletter delivery is handled by Beehiiv. Subscriber data lives on their servers under their privacy posture, which you can read in full here:
Page traffic is measured with Vercel Analytics in cookieless mode. No tracking cookies are set by the analytics layer, so no consent banner is required under GDPR. The data is aggregate page-view counts — not user profiles.
These are the only third parties involved in v1. If we add more, this section gets updated before the integration ships.
// what we don't do
No tracking cookies. No sale. No ads.
We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber data with anyone outside Beehiiv (the email processor described above). We do not run advertising. We do not profile readers.
The site itself sets no cookies, writes nothing to localstorage, and writes nothing to sessionstorage. Your browser is left clean between visits. Beehiiv’s subscribe iframe is governed by their own privacy policy, which is linked in the section above.
We do not run third-party tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or session-replay tooling.
// unsubscribing
One link in every email. Or write us.
Every newsletter we send carries an unsubscribe link in the footer. One click and Beehiiv removes you from the list immediately.
If you no longer have access to a previous email and the unsubscribe link is gone, write us at the address below and we will remove you manually.
// contact
Data-rights requests go through Beehiiv. We'll route you.
Data-subject rights for subscribed emails — access, deletion, export — are handled by Beehiiv per their privacy policy. They are the data processor; we are the publisher who hands them your address when you subscribe.
For anything else — questions about this page, ambiguity about what we do with your data, a request you would rather route through us — write to the address below and we will respond.
